DR ROBERT CANTO

I am a marine and coastal spatial scientist with a wide range of research work including oceanography, habitat monitoring, continental to regional scale spatially explicit assessments, and multispectral remote sensing image-based mapping. I have a keen interest in research that utilise spatial data, remote sensing imagery and geographical information systems to build spatially explicit knowledge and solutions.

Currently working under GEO Global Ecosystems Atlas to develop training datasets to produce a global scale ecosystem map based on the IUCN Global Ecosystem Typology.
