DR NATALI LAZZARI

I am a socio-ecologist commited to advancing sustainable and inclusive management of coastal and marine environments. With a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona, I specialize in integrating social and ecological data to explore the complex relationships that shape marine social-ecological systems. Currently, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Global Ecology Lab, I work on the REVALSEA project, gathering empirical evidence to quantify and predict why marine nature matters for people. My work emphasizes the relational aspect of human-nature connections, as outlined by the IPBES framework, with the aim of informing policies that support ecological integrity, social equity, and human well-being.
