DR JOSÉ A. SANABRIA-FERNÁNDEZ
José is a quantitative ecologist dedicated to the study of resilience in marine communities. His research focuses on unraveling the mechanisms by which marine biodiversity confers stability and recovery capacity when faced with increasing pressures from global change. With the goal of translating his research into resilience-based conservation strategies, José seeks to develop innovative approaches that facilitate the recovery of marine ecosystems and ensure the long-term preservation of their valuable biodiversity for future generations. Currently, José is a member of the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the Doñana Biological Station of the Spanish National Research Council (EBD-CSIC). He is also a visiting postdoctoral researcher at the Global Ecology Lab at JCU, where he will apply machine learning techniques to identify worldwide priority resilient areas for preservation in shallow reefs. If your interests align with those of José, please contact to explore synergies and collaborations.
